Winter 2002 John G. Esposito, Editor
A MESSAGE FROM THE LEFT HAND SEAT:
In his article in this issue of the newsletter, our Storekeeper, Gary Gross, has addressed the subject of a squadron mug. The need for fifty to sign up (I've already notified Gary to add me to his list) is to cover the initial cost of the development of the Blackjack insignia. With sufficient number of orders, the initial cost is reduced to the point of being acceptable. These great mugs, they're really 10 ounce shaving mugs, with gold trim, and a squadron insignia on one side, wings, rank/rate insignia, and your name on the other.
A wonderful memento!
We're still hoping to identify/find more of our former squadron mates. Anyone willing to assist in this endeavor, please contact Ron Lenhoff.
Keep well,
Bill

THE ELECTRONIC REUNION
Thanks to all!
Out last On-Line Roster went out on December 4, 2001. Since then, changes and new listings have blossomed! The mid-January Roster reflects these changes and additions.
If you are on-line, but are not on the roster, then you are missing out on contacting airmates from 1942 till the day of disestablishment in 1969.
Send an e-mail to SUDABAY@aol.com and get with the program! Include years in the squadron and where you now live.
Bob

A MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR
Once again, I would like to make mention of the fact that there has been a change in the Service Address. The new address is that of Ron Lenhoff. The reason for this change is so that all mailed returns can go directly to Ron. This will provide for making adjustments to the mailing roster in a more timely manner, as well as, eliminating superfluous mailing costs. As always, you can mail all newsletter inputs directly to me at my address that appears on the back page.
I continue to look forward to hearing from you.
PLEASE NOTE
The VPB-111/VP-21 Veterans Association charges no dues. Its operations are totally supported by the generous contributions of our membership, and by the sale of our squadron products. The Association comes under Section 501 @ (19) of the Internal Revenue Code as "not for profit" organization. As such, contributions are legitimate tax deductions. Please make your contribution checks to the "VPB-111/VP-21 Veterans Association," and forward them to Treasurer.
